The COuRAGE (Cybercrime and CyberterrOrism (E)Uropean Research Agenda) project aims to identify challenges and research gaps in order to develop and facilitate practical research approaches in accordance to real-world needs. The Consortium is comprised of 17 members that with their expertise will deliver a cohesive Research Agenda on Cyber Crime and Cyber Terrorism (CC/CT).

Using a three-level approach COuRAGE, will address research gaps by using a user-centric methodology. Thereafter, postulate a semantic method to propose a taxonomy of challenges, taking under consideration user requirements in critical infrastructures. At its final stages, the proposed research agenda will be evaluated and tested in order to assure its applicability in accordance to end-user needs.

The purpose of COuRAGE, is to improve security of critical infrastructures and support crime investigators by exploring valid scenarios deriving from the research agenda.

The Research Agenda will be developed in four steps:

• A categorisation of CC/CT;
• An in-depth analysis of end-users’ requirements and identification of research gaps;
• A draft research agenda;
• A validated research agenda as well as guidelines and requirements for test and evaluation
