POLICY ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES
The Working Group’s core objectives include:
- Promoting the European cybersecurity and ICT security ecosystem in general, and the interests of the members of the CSWG in particular.
- Collaborating with the European Commission and all relevant stakeholders to promote Research and Innovation (R&I) in cybersecurity.
- Fostering competitiveness and growth of the cybersecurity industry through innovative cybersecurity technologies, applications, services, solutions.
- Encouraging the implementation of European programs leading to the deployment of cyber security capabilities.
- Promoting and assisting in the definition and implementation of a cybersecurity industrial policy that encourages the use of secure and trustworthy cybersecurity solutions as well as digital autonomy.
- Supporting the harmonisation and development of EU Regulations, as well as standards and certification ensuring equipment interoperability and compatibility.
- Working with regulators and customers to set up and define a stable regulatory environment that increases security and counters threats in a manner that is realistic, achievable and acceptable to the industry.
REPRESENTATION IN RELEVANT EXPERT GROUPS
EOS’ Cyber Security Working Group engages directly with the European Commission, European Parliament, European Council, and EU Agencies such as ENISA.

The latest position paper of the Working Group has now been released, discussing Digital Autonomy and Challenges & Recommendations for the Future of European Digital Transformation. The paper looks at five areas in which the European Union has issues to address, and identifies actions that can be taken to do so in order to ensure that Europe remains digitally independent and secure.
