Cyber and Physical Security

The European Organisation for Security (EOS) has created a new Cyber and Physical Security (CPS) Working Group to promote a comprehensive cyber-physical approach to European security.

With the digital transformation dramatically increasing the level of interconnection within the society and among different infrastructures, the global attack surface has considerably expanded exposing a growing number of vulnerabilities. Europe’s strategic autonomy relies upon a coordinated and robust approach to preventing and countering cyber, physical and hybrid threats.

In this context, the new Cyber and Physical Security Working Group aims to work with regulators and end-users to set up and define a healthy regulatory framework that would strengthen European resilience, increase security and counter threats, while maintaining a strong and innovative European security technological and industrial base.

The activities of this Working Group will be carried out with the overarching objectives of raising awareness with European policymakers about the rising danger hybrid threats pose to European and national security and promoting a coordinated and robust approach to preparing for and dealing with such threats.

Through this new Working Group, EOS reaffirms its position as the voice of the security industry and research community in Europe.
